The nearest Park & Ride is the Hospital Park & Ride which comes from Thornhill, on the A40 1 mile east of Headington. The closest stop is marked on the Street Map, we are small building 1 (HWB of Molecular Pyhsiology). Details about all the Park and Ride services to Oxford are available from Park & Ride web site.
We are 3 miles from Oxford railway station, with its frequent trains from London (Paddington) and many other parts of the UK. Allow 15 minutes by taxi from the station forecourt and 30 minutes by bus number 5. Changing at Queens Lane to the 15. National Rail Enquiries – 08457 484950
The Centre is within walking distance of London Road, the Headington shopping centre. There are plenty of cycle racks outside the centre by the main entrance. A map of Oxford’s cycle network is available from the Oxfordshire County Council
There is very limited parking at the Wellcome Trust Centre so another means of transport is advisable. It is not possible to reserve a parking space before you arrive.
Visitors parking spaces - There are only 8 visitor parking spaces so it is very possible they will all be in use. You must get a visitors parking permit from Reception on arrival.
20 minute bays - There are six 20 minute bays marked on the road. No permit needed but clamping will be enforced after the 20 minutes have elapsed.

Any other bays - Other parking bays are used by staff and are usually full by 9.30am. If you can find a free bay around the centre, then you can park there for an indefinite period of time but you must get a visitors parking permit from reception.
There are some Pay and Display City Council car parks off London Road by the Headington Shops, and off Windmill Road. They are approximately a 20-30 minute walk from the Wellcome Trust Centre. These are marked on the Street Map
Street parking is limited since many streets are restricted to residents parking permits only.
