I am originally from Uppermill, a little village on the Saddleworth Moors in the North West, but came South to complete my Undergraduate degree in Biomedical sciences at the University of Warwick in 2012. In 2016, I joined the Cornall lab as a DPhil student to investigate the genetic basis of human immunodeficiency syndromes co-supervised by Dr Anzilotti. In particular, my project explores the molecular mechanisms of lymphocyte development, activation and the induction and maintenance of anergy. My DPhil is funded by the NDM studentship and MRC, but also partly by St John's College where I enjoy being an active member of the MCR as a Victualler on the committee.
